One visit, one sample, per panel. Reports the same day where the laboratory can give them.

  • Accurate testsReported from the hospital’s own laboratory.
  • Advanced lab facilityAutomated analysers, not a send-away sample.
  • Expert doctorsA physician reads the panel with you.
  • Mother and babyThe lines chosen for a pregnancy, not a general panel.

What each line looks for

  • CBC — the complete blood count. Anaemia and infection are the two commonest findings at a first antenatal visit, and both change what the next month looks like.
  • ABORh — blood group and Rhesus type. An Rh-negative mother needs a specific injection at a specific point in the pregnancy, and the hospital needs to know before, not during.
  • RBS — random blood sugar, the screening point for gestational diabetes.
  • HbA1c — the average sugar across the last three months, which is how a doctor tells a diabetes that came with the pregnancy from one that was already there.
  • TSH — thyroid. An underactive thyroid in pregnancy is a common, treatable and easily missed cause of harm.
  • Urine R/M — the routine urine examination: protein, sugar and infection.
  • HIV, HBsAg (hepatitis B) and HCV (hepatitis C) — these three are not optional extras on an antenatal panel. Each can pass to the baby, and each has a protocol that changes the outcome for the child.

The package is a laboratory panel. It does not include the ultrasound, the anomaly scan or the obstetric consultation, and those are priced separately — the scans are listed on the imaging department page, and the desk will quote the whole antenatal schedule rather than this one visit.

How to use it

  1. No fasting. The sugar test in this panel is the random one (RBS), so come at any time of the day. If the doctor adds a fasting lipid profile afterwards, that is a different instruction and the desk will give it to you then.
  2. Any stage of the pregnancy, though the panel is most useful at the booking visit — the group and Rh type and the infection screen are the lines that alter the plan.
  3. Bring the file. If you have had any of these done already, the earlier report is worth more than a repeat, and the desk can tell you which lines can be skipped.
  4. Ask for the reports the same day where the lab can give them. A result that arrives after the consultation is a result that gets read at the next one.

Questions patients ask before booking

No. This is the blood-and-urine panel. The consultation, the measurements and the scans that go with an antenatal visit are booked through obstetrics and gynaecology, and most women need both — the package is simply the part that is cheapest done together.

The panel is put together for a pregnant woman: the group-and-Rh line, the infection screen and the sugar lines are read against a pregnancy. Someone who is not pregnant asking for the same nine tests is usually better served by a general panel priced differently — ask the desk.

No. The ₹1,799 is already the discounted price against a ₹2,400 list, and the card’s own terms say its discounts cannot be combined with other offers. The card is worth having alongside it for everything outside the package — the consultations, the scans and the medicines. See the RR Health Card.

Where this fits

The tests are processed in the hospital’s own laboratory, which is why a sample given in the morning can be read in the same visit. If a result is abnormal, the medicine and obstetric teams are on the same campus, and cashless settlement covers some of what follows a diagnosis for GIC-empanelled and private-insurance patients — the package itself is a discounted cash price.
